Comforting Hands Hospice is located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and is locally owned and operated. We are accredited by The Joint Commission as well as being an NHPCO Member

Each patient has an individualized care plan that is developed by the Hospice team. Comforting Hands Hospice team consists of:

Meet Our Staff

Sam Hill
Executive Director/President

Sam is a Bartlesville native and has resided in Bartlesville his entire life. Sam attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and Northeastern State University.

Sam is married to his wife Tama who is an elementary school teacher in Bartlesville. They have one son Sam Hill the second, or "Little Sam".

Sam is a member of the Daybreak Rotary Club and the local Ducks Unlimited Committee. Sam enjoys being with his family, hunting, fishing, golfing and most outdoors sports.

Chris Johnson, RN.
Patient Care Coordinator

Chris has lived in Bartlesville since 1994. Chris received her LPN/LVN from Western Texas College in 1994, her associate's degree in Nursing and Science from Wesleyan University in 1999 and she received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Wesleyan University in 2003.

Chris has more than 15 years experience in Geriatric Care, Hospice Care and Health Care Administration.

Chris is the proud mother of two daughters. She enjoys spending time outdoors and with her grandchildren.

Peggy Boyce, MSW

Peggy has been a Bartlesville resident since 1978.

Peggy has a BA from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters degree in social work from OU-Tulsa.

Since her time in Bartlesville Peggy has been an active volunteer in multiple service organizations as well as the Bartlesville Schools.

Peggy has worked in various capacities in hospice as a volunteer coordinator, chaplain, bereavement coordinator and social worker. Peggy has conducted several workshops on grief and loss and considers her work in hospice a ministry to comfort patients and families during this very stressful time in their lives.

Peggy is married to retired attorney, Wendell Boyce and is the proud mother of 4 sons.

Mike McDougan
Chaplain and Volunteer Coordinator

Mike McDougan is a Bartlesville native.

He has a bachelors degree in psychology and religion and a Masters in Divinity.

Mike has been preaching God's word since he was 12 years old. Mike has two children and wife, Lee Ann.
