Comforting Hands Hospice recognized Carol Marrs as their Most Outstanding Volunteer. "We are delighted to have such a devoted volunteer as Carol," said Sam Hill, administrator. "She devotes over 20 hours a month in visiting, offering prayer, reading, listening, playing the harmonica, singing songs and reciting poems that she has written. Carol also volunteers by making desserts, playing bingo, and many other activities to help our Hospice patients during their last days. We are truly grateful to have such a wonderful volunteer as Carol."

On April 15, 2009, Comforting Hands Hospice staff was pleased to award her a plaque to show their appreciation for her outstanding service.
